I can’t believe that I’ve waited so long to make this! Ah yes, you need the lovely plump juicy figs that are around at this time of the year. Nab them while they’re still succulent and sweet, mmmm…
– cut the figs lengthways (peeling not necessary) and lay them on some baking paper / oven dish
– open them slightly with your fingers so that a small well forms in the middle
– stuff with Stilton and top up with roasted almonds. Alternately use honey and walnuts or agave and cashews. Anything you fancy really.
Place in the oven for 5-7 minutes until they open slightly and are warmed throughout.
Grab them while they’re hot and oozing with heavenly juices
Serve as a snack/dessert or as a side to a savoury dish.
