This is delicious party piece.. but who am I kidding? I also make this for myself and enjoy it alone with a cheeky grin on my face. There, I said it.
My friend Maya first gave me this idea but in the meantime I’ve made this in 3 different ways too. Using either olive oil and minced garlic; olive oil and agave nectar; or olive oil, sliced garlic, rosemary, garlic and honey (maya’s version)
Preheat your oven to about 150 degrees Celsius.
Using Brie or Camembert cut slits in the cheese with a sharp knife, not necessarily cutting straight through to the bottom. Make an aluminium foil envelope about twice to three times the size of your chunk of cheese and before pinching the foil closed add your other ingredients. If you are using garlic or herbs, stick some in between the slits you made with your knife.
Until now my favourite was the agave versions, although all are very delicious. I liked that one in particular due to the contrast in flavours. There are many ways to dress this up!
Place your aluminium package of goodness in the oven for about 20 minutes. Serve with vegetable crudites and crackers.
